Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope you are all spending some quality time with your loved ones today.   Unfortunately I had to work today so our Valentine Fun was limited to this evening.  But we still had fun!  The kiddos spent last night frantically writing out all their valentine cards.  I had such great expectations and had hoped to make some fabulous homemade cards but I just didn't get onto them soon enough and we had to use store bought ones.  The kiddos didn't mind and they enjoyed going through all their cards and treats this evening.  Next year I will have to start in January I think, lol!

Here the kiddos are signing their name on all their cards.

We were also able to give Grandma her gift, a cup that the kiddos made.  I got the idea from pinterest.  I bought a mug at the grocery store, and the kiddos drew a picture of themselves, wrote their name, a heart and grandma's name.  I think it turned out pretty good.  We used Elmers Painters pens, let it dry for a few hours and then to set the paint I baked it in the oven for 30 minutes at 400F and then let it cool in the oven until it was cool to the touch.  I've washed it since and the paint has stayed on so here's hoping that it was enough and the paint will stay on for a very long time.  I think these cups would also be a great gift for mother's day, father's day or grandparents day!  Who doesn't like homemade gifts?

So here is my question.  Did you use store bought Valentine cards this year or homemade?
